Having held B1 UVDB Verify for a number of years, Industrial Coating Services are pleased to announce that they now hold B2 UVDB Verify status.

A step forward in opening up more opportunities.

Industrial Coating Services have recently completed works at Spital Railway Bridge for North Yorkshire County Council.

Working under a long term Framework arrangement, we were required to clean, abrade and paint the beam soffits.

The works also necessitated traffic management and utilised a mobile under-bridge inspection unit.

Works were completed on time and within budget and with minimum disruption to local residents.

Industrial Coating Services are delighted to have secured the painting works at Carlisle Station, Cumbria.   Also known as Carlisle Citadel, the refurbishment of the station will be in keeping with the Grade II listed building status.  Awarded to us by Galliford Try in May 2017, work is now well underway and includes painting of the canopy and preparation and painting of all associated structural steelwork.

It is a pleasure to be working in partnership with Galliford Try to deliver a quality project to Network Rail.

ICS have completed the challenging job of delivering the coating works at the Nash Road In-Vessel Composting Plant (IVC) for Costain.

The project was delivered on time and within the restraints of a tight programme.

Temporary encapsulation required, following which the substrates were blasted to a SA 2 ½ standard (ISO 8501-1) with 30/60 grade garnet expendable abrasive. Sherwin Williams Macropoxy C425V2 Epoxy Zinc Phosphate was applied to 100 micron min DFT to the blasted substrates.

ICS then applied Polyurea high performance coating material, completed to a high standard to the satisfaction of the client.

BASF elastocoat Polyurea final coat was applied to min 2.4 mm DFT, this presented quite a few challenges as the material is instantly reactive with no room for error on the applicators behalf!

ICS Operations Manager Richard Cole said  “It was a testing project for the team as we ventured into new territory with applying the Polyurea, but I think all the team took satisfaction from delivering a first class job for our client”

ICS are pleased to announce the successful completion of our maiden project with Tower Hamlets Council, namely Garnet Street Bridge – a decommissioned Bascule Bridge which required maintenance.

The project necessitated detailed planning including ensuring that a scaffold permit was in place 4 weeks prior to commencement of the works and similarly that traffic permits were in place 8 weeks in advance of the works.

Our works encompassed preparation of steelwork to ST3 standard, application of protective coatings to provide the specified design life and traffic management throughout the 8-week duration of the works.    The works were completed to time and on budget.

Following on from the success of the UVDB audit, on the 22nd February ICS achieved a 5* in their RISQS Audit due to the hard work of the team. In particular David Shrader and Sarah Couchman.

ICS are delighted to have secured a contract with Costain Limited to deliver works at Nash Road Environmental Waste Centre in Trafford Park, Manchester.

The works comprise surface preparation and application of protective coating to 87 Silos cages. We will be utilising Polyurea to provide a technical solution to the coatings which will be applied through bespoke spray equipment. We will also underatke the in-house painting of new steel components. The works are anticipated to be completed by February 2017.

ICS welcomed the UVDB Audit team on the 17th October 2016 and we are delighted to report that we successfully retained our UVDB certification. We are indebted to everyone involved within our team, with a special mention to Ross and Sarah.
